Union Minister Piyush Goyal has given information in this regard in a press conference on Thursday. He said that the time limit of Rs 300 subsidy given under the Ujjwala scheme has been approved to be continued till March 31, 2025.

Piyush Goyal further said that six decisions have been approved in the cabinet meeting today i.e. on Thursday. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the Cabinet has decided that a subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder is given to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the period of which was till March 31, 2024. But now it has been extended for 1 year. Apart from this, the minimum support price of raw jute has been increased. It has been increased by Rs 285 per quintal. Under the AI ​​Mission, India AI Mission has been approved in the Cabinet meeting under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi with an expenditure of Rs 10,372 crore.

DA increased for central employees

It has been decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of central government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) of pensioners by four percent from January 1, 2024. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that this will benefit 49.18 lakh employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners. However, increasing DA by four percent will put a burden of Rs 12,868.72 crore per year on the government exchequer.
